Great timing for Anything Goes Sale!

Houston is still recovering from Harvey, so now is a great time for our Anything Goes Sale. MAI dealers are bringing in slashed inventory, and we have great store-wide discounts, too. We are here to help you rebuild, repurpose, and redecorate!

MAI Anything Goes Sale

MAI also asks customers to join us in supporting – if possible – two local charities who help our animal friends. They are struggling with Harvey’s devastation, too.

Come in this week for our sale. You will L-O-V-E the treasures and discounts! You can help our community’s animal friends in need, too.

Blue skies and sunshine!

Blue skies and sunshine for Houston! We’re so proud of our town as we help each other rebuild, one step at a time…

MAI will be closed on Sunday and Monday, September 3 and 4, for our families to continue recovering and to enjoy a happy, restful Labor Day with loved ones.

Our store will be open each day, starting Tuesday, September 5, with hours dictated by street closures and general recovery in the area. We will be planning how MAI can assist in Houston’s recovery, so check back here or follow us on social media. Stay safe and dry, and we hope to see you soon!

Thinking of Houston and elsewhere…

We are thinking of all of our families, friends and customers who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath. We are thanking the many wonderful organizations and volunteers who are assisting with search and rescue.

MAI is currently closed so that we can all take care of our homes and loved ones. We will reopen soon, when weather and circumstances permit. Stay safe and strong, everyone!

Designing Windows continues

Designing Windows, MAI’s popular design series at Building 2, continues this month with window design by artist Page Gregory Matthews. Page joins the list of designers and artists who have, for several years now, come in almost monthly to stage the front windows at Building 2.

Soft and inviting neutral tones are punctuated by pops of grays and blues. Centered on each wall, Page Matthews’ original artwork pulls it all together, don’t you think?

Designing Windows – the series continues

Timeless, elegant pieces provide a well-curated look that is highlighted by a surprisingly fun green background… and more.

Accents in green and white add fresh appeal, resulting in a mix that says “today.” This is anything but your grandma’s antiques!

Designing Windows series at MAI Houston

Dana Boyd is a designer who loves sharing with her clients a passion for fresh, colorful and approachable interior design, and she is known for creating spaces that mix the new with timeless antiques. While Dana also loves blue and white and French antiques, she believes that clients’ spaces should reflect their personalities, not hers, and she has become well-known for that reason. An experienced designer, Dana launched Golden Monkey Antiques and Interiors in 2001 with retail space and residential design services. Currently, she sells in several large spaces in MAI’s Buildings 1 and 2 while actively working as a designer in the Houston area and beyond.

Come see these windows and be inspired!
